Transformational review scale
I created this rating scale to make it easier to compare transformational practices. The goal is to show you more accurately how beneficial a certain practice, retreat, modality, or place was for me and to make it easier to compare them for you. One of my philosophies is to “honor truth more than anything” and this goes for friends, retreats, modalities and all sorts of experiences too. So I vow here to myself and to all of you that I will always display here how I really felt. To be fully authentic and brutally honest with you. As a Highly sensitive person myself I believe this rating scale can be an useful indicator for HSP’s and non HSP’s alike.
These ratings/reviews are based on my own experiences only. They are highly subjective and it is always possible that even for the best retreat or modality the timing just isn’t right. What I mean with that is that at some times in my life I will feel more connected and open with myself and my other side, so naturally more healing/transformation is possible to happen, which then could influence for example my transformativeness rating. However I will try to be aware of that but again these reviews are just evaluations of a genuine, honest person not more and not less than that.
Overall Rating: 1-10
A combination of every aspect
Value for Money:
Describes how significant the experience is in facing the other side. How groundbreaking it is. How much revelation, sudden understanding, wisdom and healing can be gained through this experience? How much does it bring you in a state of pure presence & consciousness?
Measures how authentic and original the experience is? Is this done for real inner healing purposes? How much true & ancient wisdom is in it? Do they promote their ancient heritage? Is it a Quality over Quantity approach? And what do they use their profits/resources for?
What is the experience of the Teacher, leading Instructor, Team? How professional is he/she? Can he/she fully hold the space? How positive is he/she? How charismatic? How compassionate is he/she? How Egoless? How wise? It’s is hard to put the abilities of Teachers in a set number from one to ten. However this scale doesn’t say that 10 is always the best for everyone. The scale rather goes from a practical teacher with not so much focus on the other side all the way up to a compassionate, egoless guru status.
Integrativeness/ Personal Support:
Is Integration included in the experience? How much is offered to integrate the learned experiences? What kind of integration tools and support are offered? How loving and safe is the container and is there enough personal, professional guidance for your healing path provided?
Supporting Elements: (Location, Accommodation, Food..)
How good was the Location/accommodation? How satisfying was the food? This is not so much about how well you can eat or sleep there but more about how supporting it was for the experience as a whole. For example in a jungle retreat the highest rating would not get a top notch french fine dining cuisine and King size beds but rather an authentic experience tailored to the needs of the participants. So it’s always about how good was the container for the experience? Was it supporting the learnings/teachings?
level of group coherence, inspirational people? Background
Describes the gentleness of the experience and how much Energy/Effort it demands from you. This is not a distinguishing between good or bad, rather its a subjective feeling whether it is more recreational or very challenging physical or spiritual work. A rating of over 8 is recommended to people with a foundation in facing their other side already.
Evaluates how intense the experience is likely to be for HSP’s in particular. How stimulating and arousing it is. Are there ways to withdraw get downtime or is it rather very demanding & challenging? A rating from 1-5 is therefore likely to be rather very gentle.
